What the tests tell you

  • Heavy metals: results distinguish arsenic, cadmium, mercury and lead. The InsuLess report names ICP-MS alongside USP <233>. A “less than” result means the metal was below the laboratory's reporting level.
  • Microbiology: counts and organism-specific tests describe the sample under the stated method.
  • Identity and potency: identity testing checks what an ingredient is; an assay measures how much of a specified substance is present.

Reading the units: ppm means parts per million; cfu/g means colony-forming units per gram. Reporting limits and serving-based specifications are different measures, so compare like with like.

Laboratories, manufacturers and accreditation

CTLA and PJLA

CTLA states that it holds ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation through Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation (PJLA). ISO/IEC 17025 sets requirements for laboratory competence, impartiality and consistent operation. PJLA is the accreditation body; CTLA is the testing laboratory.

You can see CTLA's current accreditation and its scope on the PJLA register.

Global Healing

Global Healing issued the InsuLess batch certificate above. Its manufacturing and testing information describes ingredient checks and in-house and external testing.
