Novalytic

Novalytic is the formula Abeytú Naturals founder Maria Crisler built her range around: six digestive enzymes working alongside fisetin, Quercefit® quercetin phytosome and β-NMN, in one 622 mg capsule.

What it is and who it is for

Novalytic is a capsule food supplement for adults who want three of the most talked-about ingredients in healthy-ageing research (the flavonols fisetin and quercetin, and the NAD⁺ precursor β-NMN) in one simple daily routine. It is the first half of our Start Here bundle and one of the four formulas in Maria’s Protocol.

How to take it

The science

Fisetin

Fisetin is a flavonol found in strawberries and apples. In a 2018 study of ten flavonoids, fisetin was the most active at clearing senescent (“zombie”) cells in cell culture. In mice, fisetin given late in life reduced markers of senescence in several tissues and extended median and maximum lifespan; it also reduced senescence in samples of human fat tissue in the laboratory. Quercetin as Quercefit® phytosome

Ordinary quercetin is poorly absorbed. Quercefit® binds quercetin to sunflower lecithin. In a crossover study in 12 healthy adults, this phytosome form reached blood quercetin levels up to 20 times higher than unformulated quercetin, with no notable side effects. β-NMN

β-NMN is a direct precursor of NAD⁺, a coenzyme every cell uses to turn food into energy and whose levels fall with age. In a safety study in ten healthy men, single doses of 100, 250 and 500 mg were well tolerated and efficiently metabolised, with no significant change in heart rate, blood pressure or body temperature. MSM

Methylsulfonylmethane is a natural source of sulfur. A 2017 review in Nutrients summarises human and animal research on MSM and describes it as well tolerated at up to four grams a day. (Two of its three authors disclose links to MSM suppliers.) Source: Butawan et al., Nutrients, 2017.
